The 5th event in the Drakenstein Super Cycle Road Series, the 2-day cycle tour delivered some good racing for the local riders of Boland and Western Province. The Tour was held on 28 &29 August 2010 in Paarl and surrounding areas.

It was Charles Solomons of Team Daikin GU that showed his dominance from the start and eventually won the 2-day / 3 stages cycle tour. The tour consisted of a 6km Individual Time Trial, 50km circuit race and a 125km mass start road race.

The fourth event in the Drakenstein Super Cycle Road Series was hosted on Saturday 31 July 2010, starting and finishing at the Boland Cricket Stadium, Paarl. It was a cool overcast day in the Winelands and it was for sure that the north-westerly breeze would make life difficult for some riders on the fairly flat circuit of approximately 12 km.

Young Stefan Ihlenfeldt of Team Cape Town Market was the strongest rider in the 123 km race in the open category and sprinted to victory. Ihlenfeldt was part of a 3 men breakaway that split off the front with approximately 28 km to the finish. But it was David Garrett (Team Daikin GU) that was in front for most of the day and rode a very aggressive race. Garrett was in a break with Anton Wynand (Team Cape Town Market) from only 25km into the race.
