Unfortunately the two day event scheduled for this weekend, as part of the Drakenstein Super Cycle Series, needs to be postponed. Some of the riders and officials are going to Oudtshoorn for the Interprovincials this coming weekend. Please communicate the message to other cyclists / clubs, etc.

We will inform you as soon as possible when the event (2 day event) will take place.

A very successful second leg of the Drakenstein Super Cycle Series was hosted at the Florida Farm Stall, just outside Wellington. This new series of events become very popular and it gives cyclists the opportunity to keep up their level of fitness during the winter months.

The Open (Juniors / Under 23 / Elites) race was over a distance of 124 km and young Stefan Ihlenfeldt of team Cape Town Market won the race convincingly. He was part of a 3-men breakaway group from the 28th km mark of the race. Ihlenfeldt, Moolman Welgemoed (Daikin GU) and Martin Wesserman (Tygerberg) worked well together to take the break until the end of the race.
